Job Summary

Due to expansion of the team, an exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced HR Business Partner (HRBP) to join GKN Aerospace, at our Filton facility, Bristol.


The HRBP will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the HR Department, aligning business objectives with employees and management. The sucessful candiate will liaise as a consultant to management on human resource-related issues and act as an employee champion and change agent for a site within a sub division of GKN Aerospace. 

Job Responsibilities
  • The position formulates partnerships across the HR function to deliver value-added service to management and employees that reflects the business objectives of the organization. 
  • Manages the recruitment process for exempt and non-exempt employees and interns, using the standard recruitment and hiring practices and procedures.
  • Assists in the development and administration of programs, procedures and guidelines to help align the workforce with the strategic goals. 
  • Assists with carrying out the company process of organization development, succession planning, key employee retention, and organization design and change management. 
  • Maintains employee-related databases.  Prepares and analyses reports that are necessary to carry out the functions of the department and company.   
  • Assists with the implementation of performance management that includes performance development plans and employee development programs.  Maintains employee training records. 
  • Partners with management to communicate Human Resources policies, procedures, programs and laws. 
  • Recommends employee relations practices necessary to establish a positive employer-employee relationship and promote a high level of employee morale and motivation. 
  • Assists with monitoring the company wage and salary structure and the variable pay systems, including bonuses and raises. 
  • Provides day-to-day benefits administration services.  Assists employees with claim issues.
  • Complies with all existing legal and governmental reporting requirements. 
  • Assists with employee communication and feedback through company meetings, suggestion programs, employee satisfaction surveys, newsletters, focus groups, one-on-one meetings, and Intranet use. 
  • Maintains an effective level of business literacy about the business unit's financial position, its midrange plans, its culture and its competition.
