Job Summary

At our GKN Filton site, we specialise in the design and manufacture of large complex structural wing assemblies, detailed metallic components and wing systems for a combination of both civil and military aircraft.

 

We're seeking a Graduate Supply Chain Planning Analyst to join us on a permanent basis.

 

This role is based at our Filton site in Bristol, with the expectation to be on site full time. We offer a flexible but structured approach to hours over 4.5 days per week, as we have an early finish on a Friday.

 

The role exists to support the site planning function through the production of accurate KPI reporting, data analysis and insight generation. To develop your knowledge, analytical capability and system understanding while contributing to continuous improvement.

 

What You'll Be Doing

You'll be part of a large organisational structure supporting various areas of the business in planning and decision making. You will:

  • Produce and maintain planning KPIs and performance reports.
  • Collect, validate, and analyse planning data.
  • Support the SIOP process.
  • Develop and automate reporting tools and dashboards.
  • Monitor performance trends, identifying risks and opportunities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Support data governance and master data quality.
  • Contribute to scenario analysis and ad-hoc reporting.
  • Drive continuous improvement in reporting and analytics to enhance visibility and insight.
  • Build knowledge of planning processes, ERP systems, and analytics tools to support future development.

 

What You'll Bring

Essential

  • Degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, Data Analytics or related field. Grade 2.1 or above.
  • Strong numerical and analytical capability.
  • Good knowledge of Excel (pivot tables, formulas, basic analytics).
  • Interest in manufacturing, planning and supply chain processes.
  • Ability to work with data and present insights clearly.

 

Desirable

  • Exposure to ERP systems (SAP, Infor LN or similar).
  • Basic knowledge of data visualisation tools (e.g. Power BI, Tableau).
  • Understanding of KPIs such as OTIF, inventory, capacity utilisation.
  • Basic understanding of planning processes (SIOP, MPS, scheduling).
  • Experience working with datasets or reporting tools.
  • Awareness of continuous improvement principles.
