Job Summary

Due to increased demand for our world class products we are looking for candidates to work as Fabricators under our Allied Trade Scheme. 

The Allied Trade Scheme is open to candidates who would like a route to become a skilled worker within the Aerospace industry. We will help you to build on your current skills and provide training to enable you to become a Certified Fabricator 

If you have the right skills, experience and attitude we want to hear from you. If you already have a recognised apprenticeship completed within the Aerospace Sector then great. If not we still want you if you have the following skills or experience:
Fabricators – a recognised apprenticeship in one of the following trades; recognised Level 3 NVQ technical certificate or Level 2 NVQ with relevant industry experience – subject to suitability.

What We'll Offer

For all roles you will need to pass a Trade Test and we will provide training over two years and help you achieve a nationally recognised Level 3 NVQ Technical Certificate in the relevant discipline.
Programme of components to provide a robust training plan, that will equip Skilled individuals from Allied Trades to work within our Fabrication areas.
The proposed training will consist of the following elements
Foundation training
On the job (buddy) training
Level 3 Technical Knowledge training
NVQ Level 3 Diploma in Aeronautical Engineering (Manufacturing Mechanical Pathway)
Evidence based ‘Skill Sheet’ Assessments
Workshop Phase Tests
The 4 – 6 Week Foundation training will take place within Filton’s Training Department and the Technical Knowledge training will be ‘off the job’ training and delivered by an external training provider
 

 

Already qualified apprentice within Aerospace = basic salary of £32,640pa raising to £33,976
Want to be re-skilled = starting salary of £30,870, rising to £33,976 pa when fully trained.
The standard working week is 35 hours, although you may be working shifts and sometimes there is a need for overtime - shift premium and overtime rates are paid.
