Job Summary

The Talent Acquisition Specialist will be based at Blythe Valley (Sollihull) Head Office for a minimum of 2 days a week in this hybrid role reporting into the Talent Acquisition Manager for the UK & the Netherlands, the incumbent will need to be flexible to visit an allocated performance site (travel expenses are covered including overnight stay if required) on a monthly basis and there is flexibility to work from home when not travelling or being office based. The Talent Acquisition Specialist will join our growing Global Talent Acquisition with responsibility for roles within our performance centres in The Netherlands and the UK, the role will sit in our Civil business line which spans across Europe, APAC and North America so although you’ll have your core area to support there’ll also be the opportunity to gain exposure to the wider global business line. As a collective, the Talent Acquisition team are responsible for a diverse range of roles from volume operational roles to niche specialist support roles and early careers opportunities, the Talent Acquisition Specialist will ensure the very best recruitment service is delivered to candidates, stakeholders and performance centre/s whilst taking ownership for the end to end recruitment journey, partnering with Hiring Managers to drive best practice and carrying out sourcing activities to deliver an inclusive and diverse talent pool. The incumbent will utilise our ATS (Success Factors) to manage data and drive time to hire as well as being instrumental in supporting with the roll out of our Global Talent Acquisition strategy where we have a number of interesting projects to gain experience from.

Established in 2019, Blythe Valley hosts GKN Aerospace’s Global Functions which provide support to all of our employees, across a range of activities including; HR, IT, Finance, HSE, Corporate Governance, Purchasing, Supply Chain, Global Communications and Legal. We partner with the world’s major aircraft and Original Equipment manufacturers including; Airbus, Astronics, Aviation Partners Boeing, BAE Systems, Bell Helicopters, Boeing, Bombardier Aerospace, Cessna, Cobham, Dassault, General Automics, Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd, Honeywell, Jaguar Land Rover, Leonardo, Lockheed Martin, MOD, Pratt & Whitney, Rolls Royce, Sikorsky, Saab, Textron, Triumph. Blythe Valley is home to 50+ employees and onsite/local facilities include Break out spaces, communal café, showers, Java Lounge coffee house, day care nursery, health club, cycle and motorcycle covered
parking and vehicle electric charging stations.

Job Responsibilities

  • Be a brand advocate delivering the very best candidate and stakeholder experience throughout the recruitment journey 
  • Build strong partnerships with onsite stakeholders and HR teams within the performance centre you support 
  • Support with implementing global recruitment process within performance site
  • Drive pace, efficiency and consistency throughout the recruitment journey to impact time to hire
  • Conduct vacancy launch calls with Hiring Managers to aid the accurate and very best attraction of talent in the market place and to advise on best attraction and selection methods
  • Create compelling job advertisements in line with brand guidelines and vacancy launch specification
  • Use attraction methodologies to conduct sourcing activities to support direct sourcing strategy
  • Screen and schedule interviews delivering an inclusive and diverse candidate pool 
  • Build talent pools to support future recruitment activity
  • Ensure Success Factors ATS is accurately managed for allocated recruitment activity 
  • Work with agencies when required facilitating briefing calls and agency portal management
  • Co-ordinate the offer process for successful candidates
  • Take part in weekly update calls with allocated performance site to ensure alignment of vacancy activity and future requirements
  • Be a team player supporting others with queries when required
  • Support with key projects within the Talent Acquisition space 

How You'll Contribute

To help us make a difference, you’ll bring your passion and talent for what you do along with the following skills, experience, qualifications and attributes:


  • Experience gained from a Talent Acquisition or Recruiter where you have owned the recruitment journey from briefing through to offer
  • Experience of using applicant tracking systems (ATS) to support the recruitment journey
  • Experience of writing creative and compelling job advertisements in-line with brand guidelines
  • Experience of direct sourcing methods and attraction methodologies to source talent 
  • Fluency in the English language
  • Intermediate proficiency in Dutch 



  • Experience gained from an in-house Talent Acquisition or Recruiter role
  • Experience of European or Global recruitment
  • Experience of using Success Factors
  • Experience of recruiting technical engineering roles or specialised business functional roles 
  • Experience of working in a matrix organisation
