Job Summary

The Planning & Compliance Lead will be responsible for developing the processes & systems to facilitate the ongoing indirect materials & services procurement commodity projects, along with ensuring compliance to processes within the procurement team and that timings/commitments are met. The role will be part of the new GKN Aerospace Indirect Materials & Services procurement team. The position will interacts with staff involved with purchasing indirect goods and services, within Divisions & Sites

Job Responsibilities

  • Ongoing development of Aerospace commodity management project management processes
  • Development of new Aerospace commodity management project management systems
  • Undertake Market analysis & develop and manage commodity indices in conjunction with commodity leads
  • Monitor contract compliance and provide analysis/reporting. Drive actions to resolve compliance issues. Management of compliance management tool
  • Manage & develop communication media & methods across GKN Aerospace to inform wider community of activities of indirect materials & services contracting / activities
  • Plan & Coordinate key meetings including Operations Committee, Core Team and team meetings of commodity team
  • Development and maintenance of overall project plans
  • Ensure accurate reporting of performance as required in support of other Aerospace reporting needs
  • Identifying risks impacting successful implementation of projects and work with commodity leads to mitigate.
  • Development and production of management reporting of activities to various levels of the organisation up to Executive Team
  • Develop and manage KPIs of the Indirect Materials & Services procurement team
  • Stakeholder management – managing and understanding stakeholders needs
