Job Summary

The successful candidate will exhibit a high level of passion for excellence, collaboration and integrity. Winning in this role is accomplished by partnering with business leadership and teams to support the development and execution of short, medium and long term strategic and operational plans and identifying/managing key performance indicators that deliver improved forecast reliability. Candidates must be highly analytical, technically strong, with excellent communication skills (written and verbal), collaborative management style with high integrity. We are seeking only those candidates that have the potential to be “up to speed” quickly to generate excellent financial reporting and to be a key financial leader/contributor within the organization for internal reporting as well as providing appropriate external information to required parties. Job Responsibilities

  • Perform monthly financial reporting, including variance analysis and reconciliations
  • Develop and maintain financial forecasts and budgets (monthly, quarterly, annually)
  • Assist Senior Management with special projects to support strategic decision-making (e.g., "what if" strategic analysis, global business forecasting, new product P&L projections)
  • Experience with government contract accounting.
  • Knowledge of FAR and TINA reporting and compliance requirements.
  • Knowledge of calculation requirements for government rates and differences in allowable costs vs financial reporting
  • Experience with submission of certified cost or pricing data in connection with government contracts.
  • Ability to manage response to customer or Government agency reviews or audits of rates or submitted data.
  • Understanding of CASB accounting standards and reporting requirements including disclosure statement thresholds and requirements.
  • Identify and track key performance metrics pertaining to business operations, competitors, benchmarking, etc.
  • Establishes, modifies, documents and coordinates the implementation of accounting and accounting control procedures.
  • Assist with the management of the annual budget and long term strategic plans.
  • Key integration driver between Business Lines and Operation(s).
  • Ensures integrity and accuracy within the process, data stakeholder.
  • Executes monthly/quarterly financial forecasts based on internal review(s) between Operations and Business Lines.
  • Prepare and deliver month-end, quarter-end and year-end closing activities.
  • Performs balance sheet reviews and executes compliance requirements.
  • Monthly Sales, Conversion Cost, OPBI, Cash, and Inventory reconciliation.
  • Internal reporting and business analytics generation (Qlik Reporting, Flash Reporting, etc.
  • Standard pricing system management and corresponding variance analysis.
  • Control owner relating to the integrity of business accounts and ledgers.
  • Performs other duties, tasks and responsibilities as assigned by management to support the company’s goals and objectives.


Job Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree with accounting or finance concentration required.
  • 5+ years or work experience in financial planning & analysis, financial modeling, accounting, consulting, and/or corporate finance, including government contract accounting experience, required.
  • 1+ years of people management/leadership experience required.
  • Must be able to perform work subject to ITAR/EAR regulations and/or program requirements.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience within the aerospace/aviation industry.
  • Advanced level experience with MS Excel required.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Extremely strong analytical, problem-solving skills and business acumen.
  • Strong communications skills.
  • Project and time management skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and within short time constraints in a complex system and business environment.
  • GKN experience preferred.
